Call for Papers

The Workshop on Medical Transformers (MEDXF), held in conjunction with ICIAP 2021, aims to attract contributions on the employment of Transformer architectures for medical imaging, with the objective of extending the state of the art this topic, presenting novel solutions to typical problems in medical image analysis and, just as importantly, investigating the limits and pitfalls of these new techniques in specific and socially-critical domains.

Expected submissions should cover, but are not limited to, the following topics:

CAD in medical imaging
Segmentation in medical imaging
Medical image reconstruction
Disease classification in medical imaging
Image analysis of anatomical structures and lesions
Multi-modal data analysis in medical imaging
Explainability and visualization of model features and decisions
Model training in data-limited scenarios
Assessing and reducing model bias
Self-supervised techniques for model pretraining
Medical domain adaptation techniques
Integration of imaging and clinical data
Self-attention mechanisms for 2D and 3D data
Transformer models for volumetric medical data
Unsupervised and semi-supervised learning with Transformers
From medical images to clinical diagnosis with Transformers

Accepted papers will be presented at oral and poster sessions, and the workshop proceedings will be published by Springer LNCS.
